YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy policy

How we handle your information when you visit our website or get in touch with Nees.

Last updated:

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Nees provides digital display solutions. This policy covers personal information handled through this website and enquiries about our services. For privacy questions or requests, contact Nees on +27 83 787 5826 or send us a privacy enquiry on WhatsApp.

2. Information we receive

  • Enquiry information: when you message us, we receive the information you choose to share, which may include your name, phone number, company, location, event dates, display requirements and correspondence.
  • Technical information: hosting and infrastructure providers may process your IP address, browser details, requested pages and access times to deliver and protect the website.
  • Campaign and interaction information: the homepage reads industry and campaign parameters from its URL and records page views, section views, FAQ opens, specification downloads and WhatsApp clicks in the browser.

The website does not provide account registration, online checkout or a contact form. You can browse without sending an enquiry. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your request.

3. How we use information

We use enquiry information to respond to you, prepare quotes, discuss display requirements and arrange requested services. Technical information supports website operation and security. Campaign parameters tailor the homepage and its suggested WhatsApp enquiry to your industry.

Depending on the purpose, we process information to take steps at your request before a contract, fulfil a contract, meet legal obligations, pursue legitimate business interests or act with your consent. Sending an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. You may ask us to stop direct marketing at any time.

4. Browser storage and analytics

The homepage uses session storage to keep campaign details for the current browser tab. This storage normally clears when the tab or window is closed. You can also clear it through your browser settings.

The current website code does not set advertising cookies or load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or a tracking pixel. Interaction events are placed in a browser-side event queue; the website code does not send that queue to an analytics service. We will update this policy if we introduce additional tracking and obtain consent where required.

5. Service providers and external links

Information may be processed by providers needed to host the website, communicate with you or deliver services you request. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Contact links open WhatsApp, a third-party service. Opening the link takes you to WhatsApp; you choose whether to send the suggested message. WhatsApp handles information under its own privacy policy.

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to request those fonts, which can disclose your IP address and request details. See Google’s privacy policy.

Third-party providers may process information outside South Africa. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we must do so on a basis permitted by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), including applicable safeguards.

6. Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, provide requested services and meet applicable legal, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements. Retention depends on the type of record and its purpose. You can contact us to ask about information relating to you or request deletion where applicable.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

7. Your privacy rights

Subject to POPIA and applicable exceptions, you may request access to your personal information, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion, or object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Use the contact details above to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing personal information.

You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator, including by email to POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or information practices change. The latest version will be available on this page with an updated date.
